Preamble

Much of the software used in modern computing comes under severely restrictive licenses. The copyright holders seek to spell out what you may and may not use the software for. This license is based on the premise that purchasing a software package allows the user to utilize it in any legal way seen fit, whether the copyright holder intended that use or not. Instead of assuming the user has no rights, this license states certain restrictions on the software and then grants the user any remaining rights.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COPYING AND USE

 0. This License applies to any program or other work which contains a notice placed by the copyright holder saying it may be distributed under the terms of this Dropline Fair-Use License. The "Program", below, refers to any such program or work. Each licensee is addressed as "you".

 1. You may not distribute registered versions of the Program in any form. You may not distribute registration keys of the Program. Please note that redistributing non-registered versions of the Program is within your rights.

 2. If you have not purchased a registration key for the Program, you are not entitled to any warranty. Warrant protection may be provided by the Program's copyright holder for registered users.

 3. All other usage rights belong to you. This includes the ability to reverse engineer the Program, the ability for you and only you to use it on multiple machines, and the right to redistribute non-registered versions for personal, educational, or commercial use.
